Many different combinations are possible. The reason for so many snowmen is that it is always my ‘loose’ panel to remove and insert a light of our choice. That way, I never have to try to remember which panel I need to open to turn off or change the light.
Mine are constructed from 2.7 MM stock (1/8-nch), which I purchased at Home Depot #833-096, full sheets, and I cut them down. I made some with and without stain, which gives a whole different vibe with the dark ones.
